Mecklenburg County – Business Diversity & Inclusion (BDI) Program

This program helps increase participation of minorities, women and small businesses in Mecklenburg County business opportunities through outreach, training and partnerships.

Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB)

The North Carolina Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses was established on April 20, 1999 through the signing of Executive Order 150. The mission of this office is to promote the economic opportunities for historically underutilized businesses in State Government contracting and procurement that will foster their growth and profitability.

City of Charlotte Small Business Enterprise Certification (SBE)

This certification provides the opportunity for eligible businesses within the Charlotte regional area to grow and compete for city contracts.

North Carolina Department of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certifications

A DBE certification provides the opportunity for eligible businesses to participate in NCDOT-financed programs. An SBE certification provides the opportunity for eligible businesses with an AGI up to $1.5 million to exclusively bid for NCDOT construction contracts under $500,000.
